in preperation for the new star wars movie on thursday i have created this thread to reflect our thoughts,

beware about spoilers tho as some may not have seen it when you do,

i have my ticket for thursday night

prolly not gonna see it until later (prolly 1 week later) because the movies dont look that great. and i dont want to through all that trouble finding tickets. I haven't seen the 2nd so i dont think i would understand the 3rd.

First off: this post doesn't contain any spoilers, and I'd apreciate you keeping it that way

Action: 10/10

Didn't have any boring moments this one ;D Well, no boring VERY long love scenes anyways.

Acting: 1/10

The only decent acting came from Yoda, Windu and Obi-One at some points

I friggin' laughed out loud at the actors for being complete nerds at some points

Story: 6/10

I expected a better story of how Ani turned to the dark side, tbh...

Special effects: 100/10

pwned, really, pwned I've NEVER seen this level of realism before, friggin' ruled

Overall: 8/10

I REALLY expected this movie to be better then the last 2. I'm feeling a little dissapointed atm

Hope they decide to do a remake of ep 1-2-3 and get some decent actors this time

I went to see it yesterday. The action was very good, but I agree with Gabriel on the acting; it was really poor. Mace, yoda, Obi1 and the emperor were pretty good, but the rest were totally unbelievable. I don't think it's completely their fault though, I think the writing for this episode, and all the new episodes, was rubbish. Lucas should've stuck to directing and coming up with ideas like in the originals, rather than writing the whole thing in such a crappy way.

Overall: 6/10

Well, to escape the all-so-present spoiler danger, I finally went and saw it. I was not disappointed. Not totally anyways

I give it a 9/10


What I liked:
-the special effects. Amazing.
-very few boring dialogs
-nice action scenes. Nice saber fighting.
-Yoda, of course.

What makes me succumb to the dark side:
-The way they made a bouncing clown out of R2. Poor Droid. Zalor's Droid Union will fight for his rights.
-The ending. I have no idea what I expected, but this was not it
-The soundtrack. Somehow, Williams managed to f*** it up. Not that it was so bad, it did not have that kick compared to the old Episodes. Or is it just me?
-Hayden Christensen. I felt absolutely no pity for anakin/vader. He already ruined ep2 for me.

and many other good/bad thoughts about it....

@ Gab: when we get old, some (Hollywood?) guru director will probably do a blockbuster holographic 3-D remake of all 9 episodes and with special effects so vivid, you will s*** your pants or have a heart attack(or both).
Don't count on any good acting, or anything from Lucas in the near future.

I just wonder, He said he wont make the sequels...
but who knows?

Ok i just watched Star Wars ep3 few days ago and i like it but there was some unbelivible and impossible scenes like that how Sidious killed great jedis like kit fisto and other 3 by one shity hit or how few clones could kill aalya etc. I cant belive in shits like that !!!That was really crap scenes !!!

it was the jedis fault they where chatting, kit managed to defend a few hits but was eventually caught unaware and slapped down like a bitch, how ever mace (like me) kept his eye on the ball and kick palpys butt, to only get tked by a team mate..... sound familiar?

It's obvious they were using the FM3 mod: 7 saberstyles + yoda and dooku had lvl 4 forcepowers + retarded droids + dekas with über onrolling powers

The movie disappointed me, but only after I had seen it all, it tied it all in really well and all, but.. I guess it's just sad that there won't be any more... I liked EP 4-6 better than 1-3.

My favorite scene was when obi wan confronts anakin when he's turned to the dark side and after he defeated 'vader'. That was some great acting that sent chills down my spine

I didnt like the ending but I loved the climax. I really hated the acting. Stilgar in the MB2 Forums said that when Palpatine killed Ki and the other guy, in the book, they actually fought and I think after a long battle, Ki lost his head and landed on a desk, I'm not sure.

Nah, what happened in the book, was Palpatine had his lightsaber in a hidden compartment behind the Jedi. When about to fight, he pulled it out and stabbed one Jedi through the head, then twisted it and took another one, then with saber in his hands took down the other Jedi.
