So in 12 days, GTA IV will be among us.
And I started to wonder, is anyone of the other BG members is going to get it for Xbox360 / PS3 and later on the PC.
I've read some great stuff about it, defintly getting it for my 360, the main reason I buy it is because of the funny typic GTA storyline, but I'm also excited about the multiplayer.
So is anyone els getting it?

Me. But if it will be on PC. Don't have money to buy a console cause of one game. When I had PS2 the only thing I played on it was GTA: SA (and SXX Snowboarding). I think it would be same with GTA IV in my case. Only game I would play on PS3/XBOX360.

Because it's about 8x more powerfull then my current PC? Just a thought... I wasn't reffering to your pc, I ment why do some people prefer Xbox's and some prefer PS3's. And I know the Blue-ray is around 50 times more powerfull than the DVD drive in the 360. But compared to the cost / games of the 360 , is it worth it? |

Blu-ray can hold 50GB, DVD 4,7GB, so only 10x more capacity ^_^ (unless the 360 can read dual layer DVD's, then it's up to 10GB and 5x capacity  |

I just got it and, it's awesome. It looks great, plays great, the gunfights / cars respond awesome. The cover system is close to perfect; the game is worth the straight A's, it's not only the hype.

I got it yesterday. The car camera is sloppy and irritating, I have to keep pushing the view up all the time because there's absolutely no lock view button for some reason. The frame rate isn't any better than in GTA3 games I've played and overall it's WAAAY overhyped. The reviews I've read about it have been complete nuts now that I've played it.
It's another installment in the GTA series, quite good but it could have been done way better, just by fixing a few things like the camera angles and the sloppy controls on foot.
EDIT: Oh and yeah, I played it 10 hours straight ending at 03 am so you can guess it wasn't complete shit.

I agree with the car camera, it's shite, I fucking hate auto-centre on any game and there isn't an option to turn it off, pisses me off.

Anyhow, the camera angle really was a pain in the ass during the whole game, and the story was shallow and unimaginative, with some bright moments like Dimitri who I thought was the best character in the game. A shame the friendship didn't last.
Not the game of the year, but certainly a good game. Being the most expensive video game ever, I would have expected more. As it is, it's a boring single player with every mission almost identical to the last one but the multiplayer works quite well.

LOl ima late I finaly got it since 12th october have finished it...Tho I have to say short story line  .... I love the choices to kill people or not but it doesn't change many things to the story line and I miss the casino's. And still I dislike things such as golf course but you can't play golf.....DON'T PUT IT IN THE GAME THEN...For the rest its cool and tbh I like the camera type thing on the PC with mouse now...Tho I wish I had better graphics performance, just a HD4870 aint enough... |
