So, Firefall hit open beta this week. I took the liberty of creating an army in our name on there, so if anybody's interested in the game, there's a group waiting for ya there already. So far it's just the few of us, but many have given me their solemn vows to start playing as soon as they are able. *Glares at ZB*

What you're looking at is the primary means of obtaining resources in this game: you mine them with rocket propelled drills of various sizes, called 'thumpers'. The tremors it makes attracts a lot of critters that don't appreciate us destroying their habitat very much, so they try to murder you and eat the thumper. You don't want that. We failed there and I lost the thumper

It would be great to see more of BG on it, we're 3 playing atm and I think I can speak in the name of Khaze and Zeitgeist without taking risks by saying we'll keep playing this game for a while

But be careful, if you're like 47 and really don't like graphism like Borderlands I find it wonderful _o/ (Should have take the screen of the purple sunset !
I'd add that in my opinion this is already an awesome game in its beta, so a damn great potential, the video from khaze is the farm part of it, and as u can see, it's already pretty cool (And it's just a beginning since we're far from the level where we could handle highest squad thumper !
Invasions, retaking watchtover and stuff are very entertaining and provide good&hard gampelay, and in this game the skill is mort important than the stuff \o/

Btw I have a question, imagine we find great and kewl players, could we invite them in the army even if they're not bg ?
Because even if all the active members of bg were playing this game, we still would have troubles to take care of some worl events

I've invited some people over at SWTOR who doesn't come from BG, though they usually have a tie to one of us. But I see no harm that you'd invite people there to have more to play with, but they wouldn't get a BG status here for being in our BG Guild of Firefall. Though talk to Khaze about who can join or not, as he's the leader of that Guild. ^^

I do have the beta installed, but tbh it's not really my cup of tea that I'd play it much or any long term. :>

Playing this game is pretty horrible right now, basically nothing works properly since the open beta began. They didn't see the massive hordes of newbies coming to overload all their servers, heh.

Recruiting more people is fine, just remember that army space is limited right now. But really, there is no real reason to go on a recruiting spree right now, as there is no army tech out yet. Eventually we will need more people for the army thumpers and other gadgets. When considering to recruit someone, you should try to keep similar standards like we do in Movie Battles II. The army list is not your friend list, is all I'm saying.

I do hope they get the performance issues sorted quick, as I'm sure there's at least a few people amongst our ranks who could appreciate a game such as this. Skill based MMOs are far and few between. I'll turn you around eventually, Jir
