Sooo, Flof and BlueFurio have offered me to join BG, I decided to try my chances since... you know - why the hell not, right?
In game, you'll see me under the nickname Dra-Gon, but my real name is <{.§#$\ ( ). I am of age 22, quite soon 23 (in october). Currently, I study at a university in Czech Republic, tho I doubt it is of importance to write which university it is (I seriously doubt anyone outside of CzR would know where the city/uni is, so...). In my free time, I usually tinker with WCIII, since I like the world (map) editor in there. I also play WoW (more so because of friends in there, than the game exciting me), from time to time SW:TOR (have 6 levels 50 and one level 36, since I have only preferred status lol).
Because I am from CzR, I am just like many other young guys/men/chaps in here - I drink a lot of beer It actually goes really well with studying at uni you know - learn stuff at uni, but get stressed, then get rid of that stress via couple of beers
As for what I am studying: I am a starting programmer. I currently know the basics for c++, going for other coding languages in the next year. Though I don't have problems with finding solutions when programming, I am simply not experienced enough to know all possible/better ways to solve problems at hand (hence why I write "basics for c++")... but I really like it. I was always that guy who liked solving various logical problems and I get a lot of that in programming.
Apart from that I am also learning how to draw pictures via pc programs (tho I suck really hard now) and how to create models. I really love music (I am really picky in what I listen to, but I don't have any preferred gender). I also really like coming up with stuff (hence why I like wcIII, I can make campaigns and spells by my design). I used to make maps for JA/MBII as well, but when my old PC burned and I got new one, I couldn't run GTKradiant anymore :/
My MB "career" started a long time ago... all Dra-Gons are old creatures, so am I :<
Anyway, I played JA, then JA+ first, there's been a lot of cool clans and all that sh*t -- really enjoyed myself at that time. However then it all went downhill when people started trolling one another and it just lost the coolness. Luckily, my brother found out that some of those mb2_<something> maps that were popping on our server list is from MBII mode. And that's how my MB career started. It was the very late B17 when I started playing the mode, was too young to really care about what version I was playing at that time (or remember all the features it had that got later removed or nerfed...)
I remember how servers were still full of people - stormi's server mostly, as I had good ping in there even with 32 people (lol). Good times... good times. Even the old corellia map, old tantive or just some CMP maps. Remember Dotf that had main without that U-turn behind hangar doors for balancing issues.
I was in a few clans in MBII, mostly czech ones, but then I simply gave up, as there were only about 3 clans that lasted some time, others fell apart as quickly as they were formed. I stopped caring about clans from then on.
However as time went on, I went from serious playing to casual, since I was no longer in clan, population started declining and people started more trolling or playing just for fun to spice up their play time, instead of srs playing. My PC started shitting me (seriously - 2 or more dekas on server and my ping went sky high! When more than 1 deka was with me in hangar, I started lagging and my fps started srsly dropping). I do the same now - apart from some serious trolling (my tops are usually just kata hugz in safe places, etc.) I just play in a way to spice things up for me.
Of course, way earlier I was playing under different nick. Some of you may remember that nick, as I always enjoyed playing against BG, DG, CF, tp, etc. as these clans had some very good players and thus for me very well spent time fighting with/against them. But I won't give my old name here - as with demons, when someone knows their true name, they gain power over them Gotta prevent that here
These days, I sometimes just go on youtube and search some old mbII frag vids to reminisce some players and the good old times when the game was still so fun.
I honestly can't say what you guys can expect of me, as I have no idea what is expected of me in the first place so I can't (and won't) write how I will be the savior of the (mb) worlds, and all that bull crap that is popular these days.
I, on the other hand, have no expectations of you guys (no hard feelings here), since I didn't really care about clans and clan wars for the past 3-4 years, so I don't even know if there are any clan wars and other things still going on at all (well, except for the fact that you guys have trainings at sundays).
That's about all for my app. Can't believe I wrote that much :X
