Just did a temporary update on my computer, I'll be buying an i7 or the hex core coming out next year in 1,5 year probably Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3 (rev 1.0) Processor: AMD Phenom II 920 Hard Drive: 160GB + 320GB internal, 250GB (USB powered) + 1500GB external RAM: Kingston 4GB DDR2 800MHz, Cl5 (= 5-5-5-15 timings) Graphics card: Asus HD4870 512MB (bought it when it first came out I don't need 1GB as I play on 1600x1050 maximum, you only need 1GB for any resolution above that, which my monitor doesn't support anyway) Soundcard: Creative soundblaster Xtreme Gamer fatal1ty pro Running Windows 7 ultimate 64bit (béta) Screen: Samsung 2032BW 20" (2ms, 3000:1 dynamic res [static res is 1000:1 as with most samsungs]) I've just upgraded from an AMD64 3700+ (single core), asrock dual sata 2 (supports both full PCI-e x16 and AGP x8) and 2GB DDR memory for 250 euros, so I'm quite happy Gotto love ATI and AMD for providing quality and speed with the best bang for bucks

Those Barracudas are pretty fast, I've got one of those as an external (1.5TB version though) and it's maxing out my USB speed (around 60MBps burst, 20MBps stable = max)

up 'till about a year ago, everything that could play the most recent games at MAXIMUM required you to pay around €1000 m8 Being able to put together a system for around €650'ish (monitor, case AND periferals included) that can run everything on max w/o lag is a recent phenomenon I like

I won't post mine, just too poor.. ^^ Let's say it has ATI 9550 in it - that's enough Trying to tune it up with additional cooling .. tho you can't make a mclaren f1 out of some random car.. Gonna get something decent soon I hope.. maybe next year when 32nm will be out ^_^ And @pt If I were you, I wouldn't boast around like that, you got your pc from YOUR employer/corp./company ^^ (j/k)
