erm.. either take a free forums software, like Woltlab Burning Board Lite, or .. okay.. a version to buy.. I dont know the common prices, but Burning Board Full version cost 99 €, and after a year just the support and updateservice ends.. Then you got the option to run it without updates, or to buy a license for 29 €.. Not that much if you got a community of x thousand members, i think...

Meh, probably afraid of not having enough freedom to fuck around with accounts as much as they please -.- The cost of removing those ads is minimal compared to what they're asking to restore the old boards IMO

Whatsa MaRlboro? Wasnt it called Malboro? Anyways, every once in a while they seem to go Nut(s) *thinks of the person who wrote the begging post and lols* I wonder if anyone has donated already. Prolly they will keep the forums offline, which will give them like a thousand USD extra. "and then the donaters decide what happens with the money". How about, giving it back >_< |

1) Their liscence expires, meaning they'll have to pay for a new one 2) Forums is a plural, it should be giving THEM back ^_^ 3) MBII is dying anyways, I say leave them forumless, don't donate unless you're addicted to the forums (Pilo_T style) |

I wasnt talking about the forums to be given back, but about the money. As far as I know you can't count money as in one money, two moneys etc so I didn't make a mistake there. Also, the license...as moar people said, there are free boards OLOL. About point 3, I concur lol. Or just tell some random base JKA'ers who just came to the mod that they'll have to pay a weekly fee. They'll either pay (forum = saved not that anyone cares) or buzz off and leave us alone. |

How about Forae? sounds cool to me. oh and for the record: Whatsa MaRlboro? Wasnt it called Malboro? The cigarettes? They used to sponsor the F1 team McLaren (the Marlboro Man in the commercials who died of lung cancer was also called Wayne McLaren btw...hmm) If you native Europeans spell everything the way you speak it, then yes...i mean Mal-boro. Fact is: MB2 is dying here on the old continent and i'm pissed about it. I was also never on the forums, with my 2 or 3 posts it's fubar for me to donate and tbh, I don't think i'll try to keep our server up the way things are going. Still, we should wait until GS and DG are gone before BG will disband, but thats just my opinion |
