tbh, i'd rather get the new Nintendo Revolution, it has a weird remote shaped controller that you can swing around like a lightsaber! Plus, 360 and PS3 are overpriced, and require loads more hardware add-ons to make them worthwhile.

PS3 doesn't require add-ons They're making it so xbox 360 will charge you money to complete games Gotto love Microshit ^^

Hmm that reminds me of the first great thing that Nintendo did making a cool controller, I would love to play lightsaber battles with it

I'm going with Marcus ... the graphics will be better and Sony still owns the rights to great games like Killzone and GTA games (before the other consoles do) and SD Vs Raw etc etc

I tracked it for a little bit, many many people say that the PS3 is going to be good, but not as good as they say. All of the videos they've released are CGI, meaning not gameplay.

I've also heard that it's going to be used as an entertainment system more than a gaming machine.

Alot of people have said that Sony lied about PS2 stats and they came out worse then what they said. They say Sony is doing that again with the PS3.

In the end, it comes down to the old adage, you get what you pay for. PS3 comes out top according to your ratings acid, but one thing worries me...

lol muppets ps3 can't beat the pc head on but in the consoles sure it will be the best in power but that still doesn't make it have the best games

Cell cpu = multicore and so far i know it has 4 cores (quad)

this only does the maths so far the graphics are mostly done by the GPU (graphics card)

so the bottleneck will be either the hard disk or the games since the Dev-kits are really a pain in the ass for developers.

PS3 will have a lot of games that won't come out on PC, unlike the XboX360

I don't really know much about nor care much about the wii, since I view it as a kiddy gameconsole

I haven't got a console since SNES; but Wii might be the second console I'm ever getting. It offers something else than PC's do, and that's what I'm interested in

At least 8. Only the pc version of the chip has 4(which still blows all pcs out of the market, the 4 core pc cell is being sold to run servers and costs a bomb).

For the record, there is no home pc that can even come near the ps3 power. While the gpu does do a lot of work saying a cpu is just for maths is very much ignorant....even a pc graphics card offloads most of its work onto the in-system cpu.

A bottleneck is a part of hardware that does not match the spec of the other elements, and forces a slow down. The hdd does not match this, and the developers certainly dont....the bottleneck will most likely end up being the gpu or ram, but it'll be years before anyone hits it.

Yay, Wii soon. The Uk launch lineup isnt exactly brilliant, but red steel and Wii sports can hopefully keep my happy till more come. Surprisingly I dont care about the new Zelda...its just a gamecube game :/
